It’s depressing when you have something you really want to get but don’t have the means to (transalation: want something but no $$$).

I was walking at Queensbay yesterday after watching Ironman and I was testing out cameras. After fiddling with a few brands and their models, I found that I quite like the Canon Ixus 950.

pic from cameras.co.uk

As an average user, I just want a camera to take nice pictures to blog about (blogger’s necessity) and keeping my own pictorial record of an event of outing. *Isn’t this the function of a camera?*

What I’m basically looking for is a compact camera, with about 7 mega pixels, at least 4x optical zoom, and fast response time (don’t have to wait a long time to take the next picture).

This camera has all that I’m looking for.

If you’re interested, here are the specs from dpreview. Not that I understand them…

Anyway, I saw the camera going for RM999 in Jusco and RM1339 in Harvey Norman (after all potongan). Big difference. Both comes with 1-year warranty, SD-card (2GB at Jusco and 1GB in HN) and a soft case. Since my camera budget is only about RM500 st the moment, I can for get about it la.

I went home leaving my heart behind with the IXUS.

Today, I got a friend who brought me news that the Canon shop in Gurney selling the same model for only RM899 + 2GB SD card + soft case + screen protector + tripod.

My heart just shattered.

They are selling at less and giving out more freebies and yet I can’t afford it.

Now my (broken) heart and mind is at Gurney.

When I heard the news, all my “chi” dropped.

Still dropping at the moment. Somebody just stab me…

If you are interested in getting this camera, do check this one out. If not, then I’d suggest that you get it anyway cuz my birthday’s coming.

About Ironman

Nothing much to say about it except that I’ve watched it.

It was quite a nice watch but now I’ve forgotten what it’s about even though I’ve just watched it yesterday.

What I can remember is that it’s a half-predictable superhero story. Why half-predictable?!?! Watch the show and while watching, make some predictions about the next scene and half of all your guesses will be correct. I enjoyed this more than I enjoyed Transformers but that’s because I kinda hate Transformers.

So if you’d like to just watch something light with your friends, this one can watch la. Ok ok worth it la….

This show actually made me realised that I like ordinary people heroes and not super-power heroes. For example, I like heroes like Aladdin. Just human, no super-powers, just with great friends.

Last Saturday night was the bomb!

Natasha’s parent’s organised a belated Vaisakhi night at Pinang Fisherman’s Wharf last Saturday and it was attended by about 250 people! The Punjabi event of the year maybe?!?! It was so sweet of Nat to invite Michy, Azhan, and I to attend the party. Thank you babe!!!

I wore my black dress there and I was so worried I would overdress. It turned out alright, not too over dress. Even if I did, it wouldn’t really matter. It’ll just compensate for all the times I under-dressed with my shorts, T-shirts, and slippers.

So let the pictures tell you the story:

Nur, Azhan, Nat, Me

Michy and I introducing food

Singers from KL belting out Punjabi songs

The Punjabi community

Me, Nat, and Azhan

Michy and Azhan

Nat and Azhan (why is Azhan everywhere?!?!)

Azhan (again!) and I

Pn. Veena and Harsimran were there too. Was expecting to be there Navjit but she was working and couldn’t come. Sayangnya…

It was a SUPER DUPER BEST party! Thanks for inviting us Nat!!!

Here are some pictures that Hun Meng took of me last Friday. It’s for some production poster. I’m supposed to be a boy in these pictures…hehe…
